Security

The security of your network is a priority. That’s why PTC Select will implement, maintain and monitor your security systems within your network to remove viruses and spyware, as well as install high-end firewall and authentication systems including wireless security. We will teach your employees the best techniques for avoiding security disasters that can pose a significant threat to the financial stability of your company.

Backup and Disaster Recovery

A properly executed backup strategy is more than occasionally changing tapes. PTC Select’s support engineers will monitor your log files, perform test restores of your data, secure weekly tapes offsite and implement additional backup strategies to make sure your data can be retrieved quickly and easily.

Stability

Our support engineers are experienced with the software and hardware issues that cause your servers to run slowly or shutdown altogether. Through our Network Administration Services, we will monitor and maintain the versions of all involved operating systems, application software, drivers, BIOS and firmware.

License Compliance

Keeping up with your software licensing can be a detailed and lengthy process. And today, the Business Software Alliance is aggressive in its detection of software license violators. This is why it’s important to have detailed reports from an active license audit. We’ll create and maintain a report of the software you own versus the software you have downloaded. Additionally, we will visit your workstations on a rotating basis to ensure the accuracy of this report.

Additional Projects and Training

At the end of each weekly visit, your network engineer will be available to work on your “to-do” list. This work could include loading a new application or upgrading a piece of hardware. This time could also be spent training users how to better utilize the network and the applications on their PCs.

NOTE: Higher-priority tasks can be included here as well, but you may benefit from PTC’s Timepack or regular hourly rates services to fill these needs.

Standard Support Packages

Six Month Agreement

Bronze Support Package:

  • Certified technician on-site three hours per month
  • One hour of technician phone and remote support per month
  • Critical emergency issue response time during normal business hours:
    • Two-hour response time for phone and remote support
    • Four-hour response time for on-site support

Silver Support Package:

  • Certified technician on-site six hours per month
  • One hour of technician phone support per month
  • Critical emergency issue response time during normal business hours:
    • Two-hour response time for phone and remote support
    • Four-hour response time for on-site support

Gold Support Package:

  • Certified technician on-site eight hours per month
  • Two hours of technician phone support per month
  • Critical emergency issue response time during normal business hours:
    • One-hour response time for phone and remote support
    • Three-hour response time for on-site support

Premium Support Packages

One year agreement

PTC Select also offers enhanced levels of protection for our customers who require higher levels of maintenance and support. Our support engineers will schedule a day each week to administer, support, troubleshoot and otherwise keep your network in top shape.

Phone Support Package:

  • Certified technician available for phone support during normal business hours
    • Total: 6 hours of phone support (rounded to 15-minute intervals) per year
    • One-hour response time for phone support

Half-day Premium Support Package:

  • Certified technician on-site one half day per week
    • Total: 208 hours on-site per year
  • Critical emergency issue response time during normal business hours:
    • One-hour response time for phone and remote support
    • Three-hour response time for on-site support

Full-day Premium Support Package:

  • Certified technician on-site one full day per week
    • Total: 416 hours on-site per year
  • Critical emergency issue response time during normal business hours:
    • One-hour response time for phone and remote support
    • Three-hour response time for on-site support

PTC Select Timepacks

PTC Select offers three different Timepacks designed to fit your project or network needs. Billed on a yearly basis or as they expire, PTC Select Timepack rates vary upon the amount of support your company requires. These plans also provide you with a defined response time, which guarantees promptness of service in emergency or disaster situations.

Support Timepack Options:

  • PTC Select 10-hour Timepack
  • PTC Select 25-hour Timepack
  • PTC Select 50-hour Timepack

System Health Check Service

PTC Select offers a System Health Check Service to our customers in order to help uncover performance, configuration and security problems on their server. This is a prescheduled monthly on-site support visit that will help detect and prevent server issues before they negatively affect business operations. This service is offered on a quarterly or yearly basis.

The System Health Check Service would consist of the following checks and tests:

  • Review Logs on the server
  • Backup Restore
  • Antivirus Definitions/Licensing
  • Update Status
  • Approve updates and schedule installs
  • Clean-up temporary files
  • Remove inactive users and groups
  • Age & Condition of backup tapes. PTC Policy:
    • 5 tapes should be rotated out every year
    • 10 tapes should be rotated out every two years
